Session Information:
Pet photography covering Rutland and Leicestershire, primarily .
What will happen at a Photoshoot?
Each session will begin with an easing in stage if needed - this is where I sit down with both owner and dog(s) and get to know you. This is also the time; that if you have a nervous or shy animal, he/she can get used to me and the camera equipment(usually done in your home). I will spend as much time as your furry friends (or indeed yourselves) need to make sure everyone is settled with how things are and then we'll progress onto the shoot; the first few minutes of which will again be very 'gentle' to get everyone relaxed.
I have a lot of experience in dog behaviour and understand the body language of dogs very well, I will not be pushy with your dog/animal in any way. The most important thing is to get the animal relaxed. Everything will be done at the dogs' pace or at a comfortable distance/speed of their preference.
the location
The sessions will be 'on location', this can be wherever you want it to be: your back garden, the local park, woods or wherever your dog is most settled/happiest. (There is no studio!)
Natural light needs to be fairly good for a photo session and is my only light source used; so if we're indoors a well lit room/area should be chosen, and if outdoors somewhere not too shady and dark if possible - if you would like some help or tips on whether a location or room is going to be suitable for a session, please don’t hesitate to contact me!
*If you wish to have a session or part of one inside your home a room needs to be both well lit(by way of windows and doors) and uncluttered; If a room has good lighting but cluttered furniture/background you will be asked to clear some space in this room.
nervous, fearful or boisterous (or all 3!) dogs are fine!!
I will not turn down nervous/fearful dogs and equally will not turn down boisterous dogs - if, for ease of mind you'd like a pre-photo session visit, for which a small charge may incur; Please contact me for more information.
Booking:
There will be no travel costs for any sessions within a 30 mile radius of Rutland,(for Standard Sessions and a 15 mile radius for Short Sessions) if you wish to have a session and are outside this area we can either arrange for the session to be somewhere within the radius or a 40p/mile charge(for every mile outside of the radius) will incur for me to travel out to you.
Once your photo session has been completed the pictures will be edited in a digital darkroom to a high standard before a selection of the best approx. 20 photos from the day will be placed in your very own private gallery; You will then have 9days once they're online to order your prints and products you wish to have (If you opt for an ‘in-house’ ordering session the gallery will be shown to you at this session) Please allow up to 3 weeks after ordering for the products to arrive.
Please see the FAQ for more information if you have not found what you were looking for above.
